KIDFIT

BUILDING BODY AND MIND FOR LIFE

Give your children tools for a healthy, active life. We help them unite body and mind with KidFit, BOXING COMPANY’s child-specific programming. Our sessions for young athletes are designed to build strength, skills, coordination, resilience and, above all, robust self-confidence.

Participants will learn essential self-defence alongside problem-solving and cooperation in our fun, safe sessions. Open to boys and girls aged 8–13, including school groups.

#1 Mind

Exercise is not just, not even mainly for the muscles. Most of the good work of a workout happens inside the mind! Getting something right — even a simple push-up or jab–cross — requires paying attention. Every KidFit member gets to know what fitness and sport feel like when they’re done right. This is a dynamic process of laying down pathways in the mind of a fresh, young person, and gaining the freedom and self-awareness that only come from a high-quality fitness programme.

Study after study has shown that the benefits of well-balanced physical training carry over to everyday life. Discipline, focus, attention span, quick thinking, adaptability, the joy of experiencing the good results of hard work, self-belief… All these happen in the mind, and they’re there for life.

#2 Body

Children need a lot of physical activity, as everybody knows. But today, where are they to get it? Not by playing unsupervised in the neighbourhood, as their parents did — and not at the local gym, either.

The truth is, while children have a remarkable capacity for physical recovery, this special property of the young body can sometimes hide the potential harm being caused by careless or uninformed training. A fitness programme for children must be well designed so that it does long-term good.

The outcomes are like a physical force-multiplier for life: better overall strength, appetite, aerobic capacity, bone density, height and breadth, immunity and resilience to infectious diseases, hand–eye coordination, and much more.

#3 Community

We have group sessions for children for good reason. Children are naturally competitive and social, and these energies benefit from being channelled. Working out together, in a fun and safe environment, becomes a form of non-confrontational play.

The FitKids programme includes sessions that call for cooperation and problem-solving. No child will feel left out or left behind. Our young members train together, under our close supervision, to maximise individual and collective joy and benefit.

We track each child athlete’s growth and improvement just as carefully as we track the metrics for any of our adult members. No effort spared!
